MSI Launches X-Slim X400 Notebook


In case you’re looking for an ultra-slim notebook computer, then I suggest you to check out the newly launched X-Slim X400 from MSI. This stylish machine not only measures less than an inch thick but it also weighs only 1.5Kg. As for the specs itself, you’ll find a 14-inch HD 16:9 TFT-LCD display with 1366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) processor, an Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics, up to 4GB RAM, a 500GB hard drive, a 1.3MP webcam, Windows Vista Home Premium, a media card reader, a HDMI port, 2x USB ports, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Sadly, there’s no word on pricing yet.

Gateway NV Budget Designer Notebooks


Gateway has recently introduced a new notebook series intended for the back-to-school audience. The NV series has a minimalist and glossy design with touch-sensitive shortcut keys. Priced at around $500, the basic model features a 15.6-inch 1366×768 LED-backlit display, a 2.1GHz Athlon 64 X2 CPU, a 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive and an integrated-level Radeon HD 3200 for graphics. You can also add an extra $100 to get a faster 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo CPU.

Daewoo Releases New Atom Powered Tablet PC


The Daewoo C920-mini tablet PC is powered by an Intel Atom N270 CPU with a 1GB of RAM, an Intel 945 Express, a 60GB of HDD (1.8-inch @ 4200rpm), and a 8.9-inch touchscreen display with a 1024×600 resolution. Measuring 241.4mm x 209.3mm x 27.7mm and weighing at only 1.21kg, this tablet PC also features a 1.3MP webcam for video conference.

The Sony VAIO NW is the latest 15-incher notebook from Sony that comes with a reasonable price tag. Priced at $880 upwards, this stylish machine offers a 15.5-inch widescreen HD display with 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics card, a 4GB RAM, a 400GB hard drive, a 1.3MP webcam, a Blu-ray drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port, 3x USB ports, an ExpressCard port, a microSD card slot, a memory stick PROTM slot and Windows Vista OS. Sony Updates Its Vaio NW Notebook Series


Sony has upgraded its Vaio NW70 and NW50 with a faster 2.53Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 CPU, a 15.5-inch Wide LCD (1366×768 resolution), a 4GB of RAM (upgradable up to 8GB), a 500GB of HDD, and the Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit. The NW70 has a Blu-Ray recorder, meanwhile the NW50 comes with only the usual DVD Super Multi.

MSI Launches Bravo EX627 16-inch Multimedia Notebook


If you’re looking for a new multimedia notebook with large display, I suggest you to check out MSI’s latest Bravo EX627 notebook. This new system not only comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor but it also offers a large 16-inch widescreen HD display. Archos Expands Its Netbook Lineup With The Archos 10s


Archos has added a new netbook to its range in the form of the Archos 10s. This slim and light netbook measures only 0.87 inches thick and weighs just 2.2 pounds, however the specs remain the same to the original Archos 10. Here are the specs: a 10.2-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, a 1GB of RAM, a 80GB hard drive, Microsoft Windows XP Home OS and a choice of either three-cell or six-cell battery. The Archos 10s will be available later this month for unannounced price yet.

Hannspree has announced the availability of its ultra-mobile Hannsnote Mini Notebook via online from UK retailer Misco. The Hannsnote was first introduced back in May, in case you missed it, here’s a brief reminder, this mini notebook offers a 10-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, an Intel GMA950 graphics card, a 1.3MP webcam, a 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Windows XP Home OS, 3 USB ports, a 3-in-1 card reader, WiFi, Ethernet, Bluetooth and a six-cell lithium-ion battery. First Japanese WiMax Ready Netbook from Onkyo


Here is the first WiMax ready netbook in Japan from Onkyo. Dubbed as the C204A5, the 10-inch netbook is powered by an Intel Atom N270 CPU, an Intel 945GSE Express, a 1GB of RAM, and a 32GB of SSD. It will be released in Japan in July 2009 for an unknown price tag. Stay tuned for more updates.

BenQ Releases 11.6-Inch Netbook


BenQ has introduced a new netbook to its range in the form of the Joybook Lite U121 Eco that sports an 11.6-inch display with 1366 x 768 pixel. This mini-laptop is equipped with a low power Intel Atom Z520/Z530 processor, a Mobile Intel Polsbo US15W Express chipset, an Intel GMA500 graphics, a full sized keyboard, up to 500GB HDD, up to 32GB SSD, an Ethernet port, 3 USB ports, optional Bluetooth and HSUPA connectivities, a choice of either Windows XP home or Linpus Linux Lite OS and a 3 cell battery. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and availability yet.

iBuyPower has launched the Battalion 101 M865TU, which is touted as the fastest 15-inch notebook in the world today. The Battalion has an nVidia GeForce GTX 260M with 1GB of RAM that is capable of rendering modern games smoothly. The laptop can also be customized with up to a 2.93GHz Core 2 Duo CPU and multiple solid-state drive options, with the fastest being Intel’s 80GB X25-M. The base model comes with a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, a 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard disk and a DVD burning. You can purchase the iBuyPower Battalion 101 M865TU for $1,499 upwards, depending on the specs.

Fujitsu M2010 Netbook


The Fujitsu M2010 is the company’s latest netbook that is powered by an Intel Atom N270 processor, a 10.1-inch WSVGA LED backlit display, a 1GB RAM, a 160GB HDD, an integrated webcam, Windows XP Home OS, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 3-cell battery. The Fujitsu M2010 Netbook sells for $449.

Two LaVie Light Netbooks from NEC


NEC comes back with two new netbooks from its LaVie Light series. Dubbed as the LaVie Light BL300 and BL100, both netbooks come with Wi-Fi, and a 10.1-inch LCD with LED backlight. The BL100 is powered by an Intel Atom N270 CPU and a 16GB SSD, meanwhile the BL300 features an Intel Atom N280 CPU with an option of 160GB HDD or a 16GB SSD. No info on pricing so far.

Toshiba NB205 Coming To America


The Toshiba NB205 is the company’s latest netbook that will be available in the US very soon. This 10.1-inch netbook is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU, a 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Windows XP OS, a 2-in-1 memory card slot, an RGB port, WiFi and a six-cell battery. The NB205 is available in two different versions: the NB205-210 ($350) that only comes in black and has a full flat keyboard or the NB205-310 ($400) that comes in metallic finish with four different colors (brown, white, pink and blue), and has a raised “chiclet” keyboard as well as Bluetooth capabilities. Release date is still unknown at the moment.

Sony Releases Ultra-compact Notebook PC in Japan


Sony will release its VAIO VGN-P50 ultra-compact entry-level laptop in the Japanese market on June 6th, 2009. This Windows XP-powered laptop measures 245mm x 120mm x 19.8mm and weighing at 626grams. It has an 8-inch ultra wide LCD screen with a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor, a 1GB RAM, a 80GB HDD, and Intel’s US15W chipset. Other features include a couple of USB 2.0 slots, IEEE 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, multi-card reader and four hours of battery life. The Sony VAIO VGN-P50 is priced at around 85,000 Yen ($890).

Acer Aspire One 571 With Mini Blu-Ray Drive!



Here’s a good news for all netbook lovers out there, cause real soon Acer will be launching their first netbook ‘Aspire One 571′ that features a mini Blu-ray drive. Some of the specs you’ll find within this new system include an Intel Atom N280 processor, Quartics Q1721 Multimedia Coprocessor for encoding and decoding of H.264 content and the all new Vmedia’s optical drive for reading tiny Blu-ray discs with a diameter of only 32mm and a capacity of 1GB.
