Samsung MBP200 Pico Projector Released in Germany


Samsung’s famous MBP200 Pico Projector has been released in Germany for 375 Euros or around $521. As a reminder, the MBP200 sports a 2.2-inch QVGA screen, a microSD slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Its projector panel supports HVGA resolution and can project pictures perfectly on a 50-inch screen. The device also supports a variety of multimedia file formats.

MiLi Pro iPhone Projector


The MiLi Pro LCOS, LED-driven projector will turn your iPhone or iPod Touch into a projector. All you have to do is to plug your iPhone or iPod Touch with the device. This mini projector has a 640×480 resolution with 10 lumens, VGA and RCA inputs, and a dock connector. The MiLi Pro iPhone projector will be released in September 2009. No word on pricing at this time.

Samsung Showcases Its Stylish LED Pocket Projector ‘P410M’


The P410M is the latest LED pocket projector from Samsung that was showcased during World IT Show 2009 in Korea. This stylish projector offers 800 x 600 resolution, a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 30,000 hours of ramp life. Pricing and availability are still unknown at the moment.

Canon REALiS WUX10 Mark II D and REALiS SX80 Mark II D Multimedia Projectors


Canon just released a couple of new DICOM compliant projectors that will provide a DICOM Simulation mode for compliance with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Part 14 standardized display function for display of grayscale images. The Canon REALiS WUX10 Mark II D Multimedia Projector will feature a native WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200) with a 2.30-megapixel display, while the REALiS SX80 Mark II D Multimedia Projector will have a native SXGA+ resolution (1400 x 1050) with a 1.47-megapixel display. Sadly, there is no info on pricing at this time.

InFocus IN5300 and IN5500 DLP Projectors


inFocus comes back with two new DLP projectors that will target the business market and professional A/V installers. The InFocus IN5300 and IN5500 projectors come with 1,024 x 768 and 1,280 x 800 native resolution, respectively. Contrast ratio stands at 2,300:1 meanwhile connectivity options include two VGAs, five BNC ports, two HDMIs, a component, S-video, and Composite. These projectors will be released during Summer 2009. No info on pricing so far.

Canon LV-7375 Projector


Canon comes back with a new projector that is perfect for use in the office. The Canon LV-7375 features 3,500 ANSI lumens, 500:1 contrast ratio, Native XGA (1,024 x 768) resolution, DVI, RGB, S-video, and Composite. There is also a RJ-45 LAN port for an easy network connection and a 7 watt speaker system that is loud enough to fill any room with audio. The Canon LV-7375 is priced at $1,799 with a three year warranty.

Thanko’s New Tiny Micro LED Pico Projector


Thanko Japan has unveiled the M100 Pico Projector that can project a 45-inch screen from a distance of 2-meters. The projector also sports a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, a mono speaker, 10 lumens brightness, a contrast ratio of 200:1, and a mini tripod. Measuring 37mm × 60mm × 61mm and weighing 142-grams, the Thanko M100 is available in Japan for 28,200 Yen ($300).

First 802.11n Wi-Fi Projector in the World


Sanyo has released the world’s first Wi-Fi LCD projector in the US. Dubbed as the PLC-WXU700, it supports USB connectivity, LAN port, 500:1 contrast ratio, 3,800 lumens brightness, WXGA resolution, HDMI, D-sub, S-Video, and Composite inputs. The Sanyo PLC-WXU700 LCD projector will be released next month for $2,995.

FAVI PMJ-1000 Pico Projector


Here is another pico projector that is currently available in the market. The FAVI PMJ-1000 is so tiny so that it will fit into your pocket comfortably. Measuring 4.4-inch x 1.9-inch x 0.6-inch and weights 180grams, the projector has manual zoom and focus controls. You can buy the FAVI PMJ-1000 for $280 a pop.

Mitsubishi’s Compact DLP Data Projector


Mitsubishi today announced their brand new compact DLP Projector, the LVP-XD95ST, which is scheduled to be released on May 18th, 2009. This 1024×768 DLP data projector is perfect for use in the schools, office, or home. Priced at 100,000 Yen ($1,048), this 1024×768 DLP data projector displays a 60-inch image from only 1.1-meter (Super-Short focus lens). It also has a brightness level of 2200 lumens and a contrast ration of 2000:1.

Sanyo’s High-end Projector


Sanyo Japan just announced a new high-end projector, the LP-WXU700, which is the world’s first WiFi-enabled projector supporting the IEEE802.11n standard. Measuring at 334.2mm × 78.4mm × 257.5mm and weighing 3.6kg, the mobile projector features a 275W lamp, a 500:1 contrast ratio and 3,800 lumens brightness, a HDMI and a USB interface. The LP-WXU700 will be released in Japan on June 19, 2009 for $6,300.

ViewSonic Announces PJ258D iPod-Ready Projector

Everything can be connected to an iPod these days – not only you have voice recorders, FM tuners and speakers that come with special connectors for an iPod, but now you have a new Viewsonic projector that is iPod-ready as well.

Aimed at teens and young adults, the Viewsonic PJ258D projector comes with a built-in docking station for an iPod, which will allow you to play music and movies directly to the projector without having to use a computer.

The projector also supports other popular digital media through its multiple connectivity options, including S-Video and VGA, which enable users to quickly connect to PCs, DVD players and video game consoles. Other than that, this 1.8kg DLP projector is pretty standard in term of features – 1,024 x 768 pixel resolutions, a brightness of 2,000 lumens and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. Short-throw Network Projector By Sharp


Sanyo has recently announced the PLC-WXE45 LCD projector that is perfect for use in the classroom. The projector offers a short throw range and networking capabilities. It can create an 80-inch image from a distance of 34 inches away at a native 1280×800 resolution and in a 16:10 aspect ratio. The contrast ratio is rated at 500:1, while brightness is set at 2,000 lumens. Connections include a VGA port, S-video connection and composite cable.
