Panasonic Will Release Two New VCHD Camcorders



Two new camcorders have been introduced by Panasonic today in the form of the Panasonic HDC-TM350 and TM30. The former comes with a 64GB HDD, meanwhile the latter has a 32GB HDD. Weighing at 227grams, the Panasonic TM30 is the lightest camcorder of its kind in the industry. It has a 1/6-inch CMOS sensor (2.1MP), a 16x zoom and 2ch sound support. The Panasonic TM350 features a 1/4.1-inch CMOS sensor (10.6MP), a 12x zoom and 5.1ch sound support. Both camcorders also feature a 2.7-inch LCD screen and USB/SDHC card/HDMI interfaces. Panasonic will release these camcorders in Japan on June 25th, 2009. The Panasonic HDC-TM350 and TM30 are priced at $1,500 and $1,000, respectively.

Panasonic’s Lightest Full HD Camcorders


Panasonic will release in the UK the HDC-SD10 and the HDC-TM10 that are claimed to be the world’s lightest Full HD camcorders. Weighing at 227grams, both camcorders are capable of recording 1920 x 1080 HD images and has a 16x optical zoom, Advanced Optical Image Stabiliser, Face Detection Technology, and an intelligent scene selector, which claims to determine the shooting conditions and automatically selects the scene setting that will provide optimal results. Panasonic’s HDC-SD10 and TM10 are priced at £499.99($789) and £529.99($836), respectively.

Yashica DVC575 HD Camcorder


The new Yashica DVC575 HD camcorder from Exemode is now available in the Japanese market. There is nothing special in this camcorder, since it only features a 5MP CMOS sensor with a 720/30p video recording capabilities, a 128MB of internal memory, a 3x Digital Zoom and a 2.5-inch LCD display. The Yashica DVC575 HD camcorder retails for 14800 Yen or around $154.

If you are living in Korea, then you are able to buy the new Samsung HMX-H106 camcorder for $900 each. This camcorder features an internal 64GB SSD with full 1080p recording capability and an integrated SDHC memory card slot. Other features include 10x optical zoom through a Schneider Kreuznach Varioplan lens, hardware image stabilization, 4.7-megapixel still shooting and a built-in flash.

Samsung Releases Two ‘Touch of Color’ Camcorders


Samsung will release the SMX-C14 and SMX-C10 Touch of Color camcorders in July 2009. Both camcorders are small enough to carry around, and this makes them a great option to capture all of life’s special moments. The SMX-C14 and SMX-C10 feature 10x optical zoom, Hyper Image Stabilization, Active Angle Lens, 2.7 inch screen, 16GB internal storage (only SMX-C14), SD/SDHC memory card slot, one-touch upload button and H.264 compression. The Samsung SMX-C14 and SMX-C10 also support play-edit-sharing program called intelli-studio that allows users to connect these camcorder to any computer via USB and edit and play their video without having to install supporting software.
