Soundblock External Speakers


The Soundblock is the latest external speaker from Elecom that is designed for iPod. Measuring at only 2-mm x 16-mm, the speaker is currently available in 10 different colors including black, blue, yellow, gray, green, orange, pink, purple, red, and white. You can match the color of the speaker with the iPod. Each speaker is priced at 4,000 Yen or equal to $42.

These super-compact satellites are perfect for any room location and decor. Its matching compact powered subwoofer also provides the deep bass response needed for a true cinematic sound. The SoundWare XS 5.1 should be available in July 2009 in black and white.

Edifier iF500 iPod Dock


Edifier has now made its iF500 iPod dock entertainment system available in North America. The device looks unique with its alien head like dome that houses five separate speakers and is made with vibration and resonance control. The device is compatible with iPods, iPhones, and other portable audio players via their headphone jacks.

Each speaker produces 10-Watts, meanwhile the 5.75-inch subwoofer has 32-Watts of power. There is also a digital FM tuner, and all functions are controlled via LED-lit controls around the base of the device. The iF500 is priced at $249 each.

This home theater system consists of a Blu-ray disc player, a separate subwoofer, and the Ambisound HD speakers system that boasts Dolby True HD audio format and 7.1-channel surround sound. The HTS8160B is also compatible with the iPod/iPhone. If you are interested, you should have at least $1,500 in your pocket. The release date for the North American market is still unknown.
