FineDigital FineDrive Voice 3.0 Speech Recognition-Enabled Navigation Device


The FineDrive Voice 3.0 is the latest speech recognition-enabled navigation device from FineDigital for the Korean market. This portable device is based on SiRF Prima platform and adopts ETRI’s Fine SRTM 3.0 speech recognition engine, allowing you to control all the functions within the device through speech. Sadly, there’s no word on pricing so far.

Archos 9 Tablet PC Runs on Windows 7


The upcoming Archos 9 mini tablet PC is powered by Windows 7 as its operating system. Weighing at only 22-ounces, the tablet netbook has a 9-inch touch sensitive display with an Intel Atom Z515 CPU, and a storage capacity of 60GB or 120GB. The Archos 9 mini tablet PC will be released during Fall 2009. No info on pricing so far.

Jabra Touchscreen Base Dock


Jabra is famous for its Bluetooth headsets. This time, the company released Jabra Go 6400 and Pro 9400 Bluetooth headsets that come with a charging dock for convenience with a touchcreen display. The 6400 features a standard Bluetooth range and looks exactly like a Bluetooth headset from Jabra, meanwhile the 9400 looks like a receptionist’s headset that you can take around your house at up to a 450-foot range. Both headsets have dual-microphones for noise cancellation and the touchscreen that allows you to quickly switch between a cellphone, VoIP or landline connections. The Jabra Go 6400 and Pro 9400 Bluetooth headsets are priced at $200 each.

Edifier iF500 iPod Dock


Edifier has now made its iF500 iPod dock entertainment system available in North America. The device looks unique with its alien head like dome that houses five separate speakers and is made with vibration and resonance control. The device is compatible with iPods, iPhones, and other portable audio players via their headphone jacks.

Each speaker produces 10-Watts, meanwhile the 5.75-inch subwoofer has 32-Watts of power. There is also a digital FM tuner, and all functions are controlled via LED-lit controls around the base of the device. The iF500 is priced at $249 each.

Elecom’s New 3MP Webcam For HD Video Conference


Elecom’s new UCAM-DLX300B 3-megapixel webcam is now available at GeekStuff4U for 12,400 Yen or around $128. This webcam is able to record 720/30p video in MJPG file format. Available in dark silver, black and white, it is compatible with both PC and Mac (from 10.4.9 above) and doesn’t require an installation CD.

Samsung Introduces Its WiMAX MID ‘Mondi’ In Korea


Samsung Electronics has introduced its new mobile WiMAX enabled handheld device during World IT Show 2009 in Korea. Dubbed as the Mondi, this portable device integrates a 4.3-inch full touchscreen display, a full QWERTY slide keyboard, a 3MP camera, GPS function, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. Not to mention, it also comes packed with multimedia features that offer instant access to E-mail, Internet, video content and business applications. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and release date yet.

iRiver Dicple D7 Palm-sized Electronic Dictionary Released in Korea


iRiver has launched its palm-sized electronic dictionary in South Korea. Dubbed as the Dicple D7, the gadget supports a 3-inch touchscreen LCD that supports handwriting recognition, video playback at 30fps, SRS WOW HD sound driver, an FM radio, a Flash player, a PDF viewer, a text/photo viewer, a recording function and a micro SD card slot. This electronic dictionary also features Encyclopaedia Britannica and 24 different kinds of dictionary with authentic native-speaker voice. The 4GB and 8GB models are priced at 268,000 Won and 308,000 Won, respectively.

Beseto Memoq VR-L2 Digital Voice Recorder


Beseto has rolled out their latest digital voice recorder for the Japanese market. Known as the Memoq VR-L2, this portable device is equipped with a 2GB of internal memory, a rechargeable battery and up to 7 hours of continued recording. It supports Windows Vista, XP and 2000. The Memoq VR-L2 retails for ¥19,800 ($201) in Japan.
