Edifier iF500 iPod Dock

Edifier has now made its iF500 iPod dock entertainment system available in North America. The device looks unique with its alien head like dome that houses five separate speakers and is made with vibration and resonance control. The device is compatible with iPods, iPhones, and other portable audio players via their headphone jacks.

Each speaker produces 10-Watts, meanwhile the 5.75-inch subwoofer has 32-Watts of power. There is also a digital FM tuner, and all functions are controlled via LED-lit controls around the base of the device. The iF500 is priced at $249 each.

Philips HTS8160B Bluray Soundbar with iPod Dock

The Philips HTS8160B Bluray Soundbar is now available in Singapore. This home theater system consists of a Blu-ray disc player, a separate subwoofer, and the Ambisound HD speakers system that boasts Dolby True HD audio format and 7.1-channel surround sound. The HTS8160B is also compatible with the iPod/iPhone. If you are interested, you should have at least $1,500 in your pocket. The release date for the North American market is still unknown.

Aibelive today introduced the AITALK voice controller for iPod during Computex 2009. The device supports multi-language and allows users to activate or change music tracks with their own voice. The AITALK makes it easier for iPod users to listen to the music while driving, doing exercise or when their hands are engaging with other activities. JVC Releases iPod Friendly Compact Hi-Fi

JVC has released the UX-LP5 iPod Friendly Compact Hi-Fi that features a retractable front flip dock for iPods. This iPod boombox features a video output so you can playback iPod-stored video on a connected television, a front audio input for connecting other audio products, CD playback, and an AM/FM tuner. Other features include a total power output of 70-watt and two speakers. The UX-LP5 is now available for $149.95.

Samson Expedition XP308i with iPod Dock

The Samson Technologies Expedition XP308i is a new portable 8-channel mixer that features a built-in iPod dock and dual two-way speakers. Weighing more than 40-pounds, the mixer comes with a 300-watt power amplifier, 8-inch woofers in 2-way vented enclosures, and a couple of internal 150-watts Class D amplifiers. Other features include four mic/line inputs, two stereo inputs, and the ability to control the bass and treble. If you are interested, you can buy the Expedition XP308i this June for $680.

New iPod and iPhone Docking Station from Teac

Teac Japan just launched a new docking station for iPod and iPhone. Known as the SR-2B, the gadget has an alarm clock function, an AM/FM tuner, and two 4-Watts speakers. You can also connect the docking station to a big screen to enjoy your favorite pictures. The Teac SR-2B is priced at 14,800 Yen or around $151 each.

Here’s another eye catching image of what the iPhone next-generation might look like. Slimmer and flatter compared to the previous version, but other than that it looks pretty much exactly as its predecessor. Let’s just hope Apple does actually release a new iPhone sometime this summer, can’t wait!
