Philips C600 and W186 Cell Phones Unveiled


Philips will release a couple of new mobile phones in the form of the C600 and W186. The Philips C600 is a dual-mode handset that works on Tri-band GSM networks (900/1800/1900 MHz), and on CDMA 800 MHz. The phone also has two call keys, one for GSM and one for CDMA. Other features include a 2.4-inch QVGA touchscreen display, an MP3 player, a 1.3MP camera with video recording, a 2.5MB of internal memory and MicroSD card support (up to 2GB).

Meanwhile, the Philips W186 is made for China Unicom’s Wo brand. The handset features Tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) and dual-band UMTS (850/2100 MHz) connectivity, with HSDPA 3.6Mbps. Other specs include a 2-inch TFT display with 176 x 220 pixels, a 2MP camera with video recording, Bluetooth with A2DP, an FM radio, a 150MB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support (up to 8GB). Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS7 Released in Japan


Here is good news for those who are living in Japan. Panasonic has announced that they will release the Lumix DMC-FS7 10MP copact camera. Available in Silver, Blue, Pink and Green, the digicam boasts a 4x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch wide view LCD. It is also able to record VGA video at 30fps. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing of the Japanese version.

Stealth Computers WPC-500F Waterproof Mini Desktop


The WPC-500F waterproof desktop from Stealth Computers is waterproof and completely fanless, so I can be sure this computer is silent. The mini-desktop comes equipped with special cables for power, networking and peripherals which are also completely waterproof. The WPC-500F is priced at $1,995 for the basic model that comes with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom 33 processor, a 2GB RAM and a 80GB hard drive. It comes with either Windows XP, Vista or Linux.

ONDA VX565HD Portable Media Player


Chinese manufacturer ONDA has released an awesome PMP dubbed as ONDA VX565HD. What’s make this PMP cool is the feature of HD-Ready, up to 5-inch of WVGA LCD, and the ability to read popular audio and video file formats such as MP4, RMVB, RM, FLV 720p. ONDA VX565HD comes with a 4GB storage space which is expandable via the provided MicroSD slot (up to 8GB). Other features include an internal FM transmitter with TV output to project to your TV.

Huawei U8230 And C8000 Smartphones


The U8230 and C8000 are the latest smartphones from Huawei that were showcased during CommunicAsia 2009 in Singapore. The U8230 (pictured above) is an Android-powered smartphone that offers a wide 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, an on-screen QWERTY keyboard, a trackball, various Google apps and a 1,500 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the C8000 features a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, a 3D menu graphic user interface (GUI), a unique independent display adapter which enables the smooth presentation of video files and DVD-quality, and runs on Windows Mobile operating system. Both smartphones will be commercially available in the second half of 2009 for unannounced price yet.

Samsung B7610 Officially Released in Singapore


Samsung Korea today released in Singapore the B7610 smartphone. It is a WinMo PocketPC with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 3.5-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen, a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, an FM radio, and a microSD slot (with support for up to 32GB). The company also released the Samsung Pixon 12 M8910 12MP camera phone, the Samsung Jackie B7320, and the Android powered Samsung I7500. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing so far.


Canon REALiS WUX10 Mark II D and REALiS SX80 Mark II D Multimedia Projectors


Canon just released a couple of new DICOM compliant projectors that will provide a DICOM Simulation mode for compliance with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Part 14 standardized display function for display of grayscale images. The Canon REALiS WUX10 Mark II D Multimedia Projector will feature a native WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200) with a 2.30-megapixel display, while the REALiS SX80 Mark II D Multimedia Projector will have a native SXGA+ resolution (1400 x 1050) with a 1.47-megapixel display. Sadly, there is no info on pricing at this time.
