Jobo’s New Curve Digital Picture Frames


You can now show off your family pictures with Jobo’s latest Curve 7 and Curve 8 digital picture frames. Both frames have full-screen and thumbnail modes and can display the images as a slideshow with a limited set of transitions. The Jobo Curve 7 sports a 7-inch color TFT LCD display with a resolution of 480×234 pixels and Zoom mode. Meanwhile, the Jobo Curve 8 features an 8-inch color TFT LCD display with a higher resolution of 800×600 pixels and 4:3 aspect ratio. The Jobo Curve 7 retails for $82 and the Curve 8 for $124.

Archos 9 Tablet PC Runs on Windows 7


The upcoming Archos 9 mini tablet PC is powered by Windows 7 as its operating system. Weighing at only 22-ounces, the tablet netbook has a 9-inch touch sensitive display with an Intel Atom Z515 CPU, and a storage capacity of 60GB or 120GB. The Archos 9 mini tablet PC will be released during Fall 2009. No info on pricing so far.

A-Data 64GB XPG Xupreme Flash Drive


A-Data has come out with a new high capacity drive in the form of the 64GB XPG Xupreme Flash Drive. Measuring only 66 x 19 x 10mm and weighing just 15 grams, this plug and play drive comes with an aluminum casing and features a USB 2.0/1.1 connection interface, a read speed of up to 30MB/s and supports Windows ReadyBoost. The drive is expected to be launched in the next few week for around 150 Euro ($210).

HP XW9400 Workstations Introduced


HP has recently unveiled its latest line of xw9400 Workstations, which are powered by AMD’s six-core Opteron 2400 series. Dubbed as Istanbul, these processors are capable of offering the system up to a dozen cores and are also claimed to provide around 34% more performance per watt when compared to earlier quad-cores. The Opteron 2400 processors will have speeds that range from 2.2GHz to 2.6GHz. The HP XW9400 Workstations also features the high-end AMD’s FirePro V7750 workstation-class graphics card. The price starts from $1,899 upwards.

Toshiba’s Latest HDD and DVD Recorders


It seems that Toshiba is trying to be the leader in the HDD and DVD recorder market in Japan by releasing the 1TB Regza RD-E1004K and the 320GB Regza RD-304K. Both HDD and DVD recorders are able to record HD video in Blu-ray format or in a standard format (MPEG-4 AVC/H.264). The 1TB RD-E1004K retails for 65,000 Yen ($677). There is no word on pricing of the 320GB model.

Green-House Japan has recently rolled out their new line-up of SSDs in the form of the the 1.8-inch PATA and 2.5-inch PATA series. These SSD drives are currently available in 16GB to 128GB storage capacities. No info on pricing so far.

Jabra Touchscreen Base Dock


Jabra is famous for its Bluetooth headsets. This time, the company released Jabra Go 6400 and Pro 9400 Bluetooth headsets that come with a charging dock for convenience with a touchcreen display. The 6400 features a standard Bluetooth range and looks exactly like a Bluetooth headset from Jabra, meanwhile the 9400 looks like a receptionist’s headset that you can take around your house at up to a 450-foot range. Both headsets have dual-microphones for noise cancellation and the touchscreen that allows you to quickly switch between a cellphone, VoIP or landline connections. The Jabra Go 6400 and Pro 9400 Bluetooth headsets are priced at $200 each.

Samsung Haptic AMOLED Mobile Phone in South Korea


Samsung has introduced a new 3G full touchscreen mobile phone in South Korea, which is dubbed as the Haptic AMOLED. The handset provides high resolution WVGA 800×480 pixel resolution on its 3.5 inch AMOLED display. The AMOLED display also has 180-degree viewing angle, and can reduce power consumption by up to 66%. The phone also supports high-quality video formats such as H.264, MPEG4, and AC-3. Other features include “One-finger Zoom” function, T-DMB, a 5MP camera, Bluetooth, and navigation support. The Haptic AMOLED phone will be available via Korea’s SK Telecom, KT and LG Telecom for about $700.

Edifier iF500 iPod Dock


Edifier has now made its iF500 iPod dock entertainment system available in North America. The device looks unique with its alien head like dome that houses five separate speakers and is made with vibration and resonance control. The device is compatible with iPods, iPhones, and other portable audio players via their headphone jacks.

Each speaker produces 10-Watts, meanwhile the 5.75-inch subwoofer has 32-Watts of power. There is also a digital FM tuner, and all functions are controlled via LED-lit controls around the base of the device. The iF500 is priced at $249 each.

BenQ Rolls Out Joybook Lite U102 Netbook


The BenQ Joybook Lite U102 is the company’s latest netbook computer which is designed specially for students and mobile professionals. This portable mini laptop is powered by an Intel Atom N270/N280 processor and features a 10.1-inch WSVGA LED backlit display with 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1GB RAM, a 250GB HDD, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, 3G, WiFi, a 4-in-1 card reader, 3x USB ports and Windows XP OS. Sadly, there’s no word on pricing so far.

Denon’s Brand New Noise Canceling Earphones


Denon has recently introduced a new set of noise canceling earphones for the mass market in the form of the AH-NC600. These earphones are able to suppress up to 99% of surrounding noise. Alienware’s latest LCD monitor ‘OptX AW2210′ is claimed to be “ideal for the latest-generation games and high-definition movies”. This 21.5-inch LCD monitor supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and features a 2ms response time, a 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and a 300 cd/m2 brightness. I-O Data Latest 3TB External HDD


Here is I-O Data’s latest 3TB external USB 2.0 HDD that looks like NAS with a dedicated passive cooling system (fanless). Known as the HDC2-U series, the hard drive contains two HDDs on the inside. The HDC2-U will be available in Japan in the middle of July for around 50,900 Yen ($527).
