INTEL Mobile Internet Device (MID)



Even hard to say how many times we heard the beautiful promises about the MID (Mobile Internet Device - portable devices for Internet access), but did not see any live ones. Competition these devices with a diagonal of up to 7 inches, as stated in the past «clarification» Intel, which has invented the concept of this gadget, now a netbuki, internet tablet, and, of course, different QWERTY-phones with large displays (eg, Nokia E90, HTC Touch Pro). But this concept, developed by Czech designer Jan Rytirom (Jan Rytir) looks very healthy and, in our opinion, will go down in history even if not realized in the «iron». QWERTY-keyboard equipped with a trackball, in the end, next to the stereo speakers are 7 user-customizable buttons. The device is equipped with 2 ports USB, standard connectors for connecting a microphone and headphones, and the card reader for memory cards format SD. Complements the picture of a widescreen OLED-display, and operates all facilities managed by the platform Intel Atom.









Latest CDMA Phone From Pantech



Pantech comes back with the new CDMA handset. Known as the Cupid IM-S390, the phone sports CDMA/HSDPA (7.2 Mbps) network and has a 2.3 inch display at 240 x 320 resolution with 262k colors, a 1.3MP camera, 80MB internal memory, microSD memory card slot, Electronic dictionary and MP3 playback. No info on pricing at this time.

Transformers Qosmio Netbook USB Hub



Here is a Qosmio netbook that was touched by a fragment of the All Spark cube that turns it into a robotic alien lifeform. The netbook doesn’t necessarily work, the body serves as a 4-port USB hub. It comes with four USB 2.0 ports on the front and a fake image of the Windows XP desktop on the display.

Acer Releases 11.6-inch Netbook




Acer has recently rolled out a new member for its netbook series by releasing the LT3000 11.6-inch wide netbook. It comes with a 1366×768 resolution display, a 1.33 GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor, a 1GB of RAM, 160GB of HDD and US15W chipset. The netbook also sports three USB 2.0 ports, IEEE 802.11 b/g wireless LAN, Bluetooth 2.0, card reader, a 3MP webcam and Windows XP operating system. Unfortunately, the battery lifetime is only enough up to 3 hours. The Acer LT3000 is priced at 65,000Yen($685) in Japan.

ASUS Eee PC 1000HV With ATI Radeon HD 3450 Graphics




The ASUS Eee PC 1000HV is the company’s latest netbook that features an ATI Radeon HD 3450 graphics with 256MB of memory. Other interesting specs you’ll find within this new system include a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 processor, a 1.3MP webcam, a 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, a VGA port, three USB 2.0 ports, an SD/SDHC/MMC card reader, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 and a six cell battery. If you happen to live in Italy, you could pre-order the ASUS Eee PC 1000HV through Computer Discount for about €449 ($628).

Solar Powered Headphones with Bluetooth




Romania-based engineering student Stephen Shepeleff has designed the Q-SOUND Bluetooth solar powered headphones. The solar cell across the top of the headband will recharge two removable rechargeable NiMH batteries with an electric capacity of 800mAh and operating voltage of 1.2Volts. A fully charged headset is able to run for up to 40 hours, running Bluetooth, an MP3 player, or other Bluetooth-enabled device.

The t239 is a slider phone that features dual band GSM connectivity 850/1900 MHz, a 177 x 220 pixels TFT display, a VGA photo camera, a 10MB of internal memory, web2go, MMS, myFaves capable and Bluetooth connectivity. The phone is available in two color options, dark scarlet and grey, and priced at $59.99.

New Qosmio WXW Update in Japan


The WXW is Toshiba's the high-end notebook. Today Toshiba Japan has yet another upgrade for its WXW with a powerful GeForce 9800M GTS with 1GB of VRAM, both a 128GB SSD and 160GB of HDD, a Core 2 Duo T9550 (2.66GHz) and a DVD Super multi drive.

It will be sold with a minimum of 2GB of RAM for roughly 280,000 Yen (€2,435).


Sharp’s New AQUOS DX, World’s First 20″ LCD TV With Blu-ray Recorder



Sharp has rolled out the world’s first 20″ LCD TV ‘AQUOS DX’ that comes equipped with an integrated Blu-ray and DVD recorder. This new LCD TV also offers an HD Ready resolution of 1366 x 768, a 1500:1 contrast ratio, a 450cd/m2 brightness and a digital TV tuner. It will be available in Japan starting the end of June for 150,000 Yen ($1,592).

The Wristfone from Neutrano: GSM wristwatch phone



The Wristfone from Neutrano will be released in September this year. Priced at around $200 with contract, this GSM wristwatch phone has a 1.4-inch full color touchscreen display, a 1.3-megapixel camera with video recording capability, Bluetooth, music, video and photo players. If you want to purchase the unlock version, then you should spend an extra $100-$200. Wristfone will be available in both stainless steel and leather strap.

Panasonic Will Release Two New VCHD Camcorders



Two new camcorders have been introduced by Panasonic today in the form of the Panasonic HDC-TM350 and TM30. The former comes with a 64GB HDD, meanwhile the latter has a 32GB HDD. Weighing at 227grams, the Panasonic TM30 is the lightest camcorder of its kind in the industry. It has a 1/6-inch CMOS sensor (2.1MP), a 16x zoom and 2ch sound support. The Panasonic TM350 features a 1/4.1-inch CMOS sensor (10.6MP), a 12x zoom and 5.1ch sound support. Both camcorders also feature a 2.7-inch LCD screen and USB/SDHC card/HDMI interfaces. Panasonic will release these camcorders in Japan on June 25th, 2009. The Panasonic HDC-TM350 and TM30 are priced at $1,500 and $1,000, respectively.

LG canU S1000 Mobile Phone



LG has finally rolled out another phone from its canU series in the form of the canU S1000. The handset comes jam packed with a 2.8 inch AMOLED WQVGA display at 400 x 240 resolution, T-DMB support, rotating display for up to 180 degrees, mobile web and email support, and an integrated dictionary. The 14.1 mm thick LG canU S1000 will be exclusively available for LG Telecom customers in violet or silver. No word yet on pricing.

Mintpass To Launch Mintpad 2.0 Later This Year



Korean based Mintpass has unveiled the successor to its Mintpad series with the introduction of Mintpad 2.0, which is likely be available later this year. This new multimedia network device is said to have an integrated GPS and WiBro, a metal body and a touchscreen display that won’t exceed 7 inches. Sadly, no other information is given at the moment including pricing and release dates. Stay tuned for more updates.

SK Telecom To Release Full Touch WiBro Phone



SK Telecom has plan to launch the Samsung SCH-M830 in the South Korean market. This WiBro phone supports both WCDMA voice call and WiBro data service. The phone is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 OS with a 3.3-inch WVGA (480×800pixels) full touchscreen display, a built-in 2GB storage space, and a 3MP shooter.

Acer Aspire easyStore Expandable 1TB Windows Home Server Cube



It seems that famous laptop maker Acer wants to conquer home server market by releasing its first Acer Aspire easyStore AH340-UA230N with built-in Windows Home Server. This HP MediaSmart competitor is powered by an Intel Atom 230 processor with a 2GB DDR2 RAM, a 1TB of HDD, and three 3.5-inch hot swappable bays for a total of 7TB of storage space. The Acer Aspire easyStore AH340-UA230N also supports a DLNA 1.5 certification and retails for only $400 each.

24x External DVD Burner from Buffalo



Buffalo today unveiled the DVSM-U24U2 external DVD writer which is capable of burning speeds of up to 24x. Measuring 164mm x 50mm x 266mm and weighing 1.7kg, the burner provides write speeds of 24x for DVD+R/-R, 16x for DVD-RAM, 6x for DVD-R/+R DL and DVD+RW, 6x for DVD-RW, 48x for CD-R and 32x for CD-RW. The Buffalo DVSM-U24U2 uses a USB 2.0 interface and comes bundled with CyberLink’s PowerDirector 7, PowerProducer 5, PowerDVD 8, Power2Go 6, InstantBurn 5 and PowerBackup 2. It is expected to release in June for $130.

Weighing at 227grams, both camcorders are capable of recording 1920 x 1080 HD images and has a 16x optical zoom, Advanced Optical Image Stabiliser, Face Detection Technology, and an intelligent scene selector, which claims to determine the shooting conditions and automatically selects the scene setting that will provide optimal results. Panasonic’s HDC-SD10 and TM10 are priced at £499.99($789) and £529.99($836), respectively.

Asus Eee PC 1005HA Seashell Specs Unveiled


The specification of the Asus Eee PC 1005HA has been unveiled. Available in white, black, pink and blue, the 10.1-inch netbook is powered by either Intel Atom N270 or N280 CPU, a 160GB hard drive, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, and a LED-backlit display (1,024 x 600 resolution). Other features include a 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 0.3 or 1.3MP webcam, VGA output, three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, a multicard reader, and audio in / out. This Windows XP Home-powered netbook provides up to 10.5 hours of battery life.

Cheap Samsung SGH-t349 Available From T-Mobile



Samsung’s latest messaging phone ‘SGH-t349′ is now official and available for purchase via T-Mobile USA.
